CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of more than 140 cannabinoid compounds discovered in the cannabis Sativa-L plant. Along with THC, CBD is an active ingredient in cannabis and industrial hemp varieties — found in the trichomes (flowers).
Specifically, in industrial hemp, 0.5-3.0% of CBD can be found with less than 0.2% of THC, below the legal limit.
