What Is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of more than 140 cannabinoid compounds discovered in the cannabis Sativa-L plant. Along with THC, CBD is an active ingredient in cannabis and industrial hemp varieties — found in the trichomes (flowers).
Specifically, in industrial hemp, 0.5-3.0% of CBD can be found with less than 0.2% of THC, below the legal limit. CBD products with less than 0.2% THC are non-psychoactive and do not produce a high, paranoia, or anxiety. Low levels of THC are a positive aspect of CBD concentrates because of the entourage effect—more cannabinoids consumed together produce the broadest range of health benefits.
